Exactly how a lot gets from our inventory into yours, what it costs, and why some pieces take a week. Steam sets the timing, not us - so we tell you which case you are in before you pay.

Buying, step by step

    Pick the exact item

    Every listing is one specific item, not a product line. The float, paint seed, sticker wear and pattern tier you see on the page are the ones you receive - there is no substitution.

  2. 02

    Check the delivery state

    Each listing says whether it is ready to send, still inside a Steam trade lock, or sourced to order. The date you will receive it is shown before you pay, not after.

  3. 03

    Add your Steam trade URL

    We only ever need your public trade URL. We will never ask for your Steam password, your login token or your Steam API key - nobody legitimate ever needs those.

  4. 04

    Pay by card

    Visa or Mastercard, with 3-D Secure. You pay the listed price and nothing else - no fee is added at checkout, so there is nothing to discover afterwards.

  5. 05

    We send the trade offer

    The offer comes from our own bot account and carries your order reference in the message, so you can verify it is really from us. Accept it in Steam and the item is yours.

    The item is in our inventory and past its trade lock. We send the offer as soon as your payment settles - usually within minutes during working hours.

    We own the item, but Steam still has it locked. The listing shows the exact date and time the lock expires; we send it the moment it does.

    We acquire the item for you after you order. Steam then applies a 7-day trade lock to it, so this is the slowest route - and we say so up front rather than promising instant delivery we cannot give.

Why a 7-day wait sometimes applies

Steam applies a 7-day trade lock to any item that changes hands. The clock starts the moment the item enters an inventory and there is no way to shorten it - not for us, not for anyone.

That means any shop claiming instant delivery on an item it does not already own is either selling from stock it holds, or is about to disappoint you. We tell you which case you are in before you pay.

Items marked "Ready to send" are in our own inventory with the lock already expired. Those go out immediately. Everything else shows a real date.

What we will never ask you for

  • We never ask for your API key

    The most common scam in this market works by stealing a Steam API key and hijacking pending trade offers. We do not use them, so there is nothing to give away.

  • Verify the offer, always

    Our trade offer carries your order reference in the message. Check that reference against your order page before accepting anything, on our site or any other.

  • One item, one buyer

    Each listing is a unique item, so it disappears from the catalogue the moment it sells. If a listing is still up, the item is still there.

  • Questions before you buy

    Ask us anything about an item's provenance or condition first - info@dropple.shop. We would rather answer ten questions than process one refund.
