Frequently asked questions
If your question isn't here, open a ticket or email info@dropple.shop.
Buying
Is the listed price the final price?
Yes. The price on the listing is the total for that item - no service fee, handling charge or card surcharge is added at checkout, and the invoice shows the same figure. Each price reflects that specific item's float, pattern and stickers, so two listings of the same skin will rarely match.
Why is the same skin cheaper or dearer than on another site?
Because it is not the same skin. Float value, paint seed, sticker combination and pattern tier all move the price of an individual item, sometimes by multiples. We show all four on every listing so you can compare like with like.
Can I buy two of the same item?
No - each listing is one unique item, so quantity does not apply. If you want a second, similar one, the item page lists other units of the same finish, or you can raise a concierge request.
Do you buy skins from me?
Not through the store at the moment. If you have a piece you think belongs in the vault, email info@dropple.shop with the inspect link.
Delivery
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the listing, and the listing tells you. "Ready to send" items go out within minutes of payment settling. "Trade-locked" items show the exact expiry date. "Sourced to order" items take up to 8 days because Steam locks any item we acquire for 7 days.
Why is there a 7-day lock at all?
It is a Steam rule, not ours. Steam locks any traded item for 7 days from the moment it enters an inventory. Nobody can shorten it, and any shop promising instant delivery on an item it does not already hold is not being straight with you.
What do you need from me to deliver?
Only your public Steam trade URL. Your Steam account also needs Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator active for at least 7 days, otherwise Steam will not let you receive trades.
How do I know the trade offer is really from you?
Every offer we send carries your order reference in the trade message. Check it against your order page. We will never ask for your Steam API key, password or login token.
Payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
Pay by bank (an instant SEPA transfer you authorise in your own banking app), Visa and Mastercard, and major cryptocurrencies. Pay by bank is the one we recommend: it is authorised by your bank, shares no card details, and settles immediately.
In which currency am I charged?
All prices are set in euro. You can switch the display currency in the header and it will convert for reference, but the charge itself is in EUR.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Every order has a downloadable PDF receipt from your account, issued by DSTF OÜ with the registry code and full itemisation.
Concierge & VIP
What does the concierge service do?
You tell us the exact piece you want - finish, maximum float, pattern tier, sticker combination, budget - and we go and find it. You get a quote before anything is bought, and you are never committed by making a request.
How do I get VIP access?
VIP unlocks members-only listings and priority concierge. It is granted on purchase history or by invitation - there is no fee to pay.
Company
Who operates this store?
DSTF OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (EU) under registry code 17574053, at Keskväljak 4, Jõhvi, Ida-Viru maakond 41531, Estonia.
Are you affiliated with Valve?
No. We are independent from Valve Corporation, with no affiliation to, endorsement from or association with it. Counter-Strike, CS2 and Steam are Valve trademarks.
Do you run cases, roulette or upgraders?
No, and we never will. There is no random-outcome mechanic anywhere on this site. You buy a specific item at a stated price - that is the whole product.
Account & Steam
Why is Steam the only way to log in?
Because your Steam account is the delivery address. An email login would let you create an account we cannot send anything to, and it would mean storing a password we have no reason to hold. Signing in with Steam proves the account is yours in one step.
Does logging in with Steam give you access to my inventory?
No. Steam sign-in returns your profile id and display name and nothing else. It grants no permission to view, move or trade anything. We never ask for your Steam password, and we never ask for an API key.
Where do I set my trade URL, and why do you need it?
Account, then settings. Steam requires a trade URL to send you an offer at all - it is the equivalent of a delivery address. Without one we can take an order but cannot complete it.
My Steam account is new or has trade restrictions. Can I still buy?
You can order, but Steam may refuse the trade. Common causes are a missing Mobile Authenticator, a recent password change, or a fresh account. Fix those on Steam first; the order waits rather than failing.
Floats & condition
What is a float value, in plain terms?
A number between 0 and 1 that fixes how worn a skin looks. Lower is cleaner. It never changes after the item is created, which is why collectors treat it as part of the identity of the item rather than a grade.
Two items look identical but the prices differ hugely. Why?
Float and paint seed. A seed decides where the pattern lands on the model, so one Case Hardened can be mostly blue and the next mostly gold. We publish both numbers on every listing precisely so this is never a surprise.
Do you ever estimate a float?
No. If we cannot read the real float for an item, we do not list it. An estimated float would make the wear bar on the listing a guess, and the whole point of the bar is that it is not.
What does StatTrak actually change?
It adds a kill counter and nothing else - no stats, no advantage. It is a collector attribute, and it usually carries a premium over the same skin without it.
Security
How do I know a trade offer is really from you?
Check it in Steam, not in your email. Open the offer from your Steam notifications and confirm the sending account against the one named on your order page. We will never ask you to accept an offer from a different account.
Someone messaged me claiming to be your support. Is that you?
Almost certainly not. We do not open Steam chats or Discord DMs to discuss an order, and we never ask you to send an item first. Anything genuine from us appears on your order page.
What is the API-key scam and are you exposed to it?
It works by taking a Steam API key from a phished account and quietly cancelling and re-creating trade offers so the victim confirms a trade with the attacker. We do not use API keys, so there is nothing of that kind for us to leak.
Still not sure about a piece?
Ask before you buy. We would much rather answer ten questions than process one refund.
